Dear Friends of the
College of DuPage Foundation,
Over the past few months, the College of DuPage Foundation's Board of Directors have had the opportunity to share news of COD's successes and future plans with members of our community. Through our conversations, I had the pleasure of hearing a great deal about what College of DuPage means to our students, faculty, staff and our community at large. One would be challenged to find someone locally without a personal connection. Indeed, it is clear that College of DuPage holds a special place in this community.
As President of the College of DuPage Foundation's Board of Directors, I am pleased to report that we are working diligently to ensure that these connections to the College become even more powerful and enduring. Together with your, our dedicated donors and volunteers, the Foundation has raised over $3.1 million dollars since July 1, 2016, which includes the second installment of the largest cash gift in the Foundation's history.
There is much to be proud of at the College of DuPage and the College of DuPage Foundation. In addition to our successful fundraising; this spring alone, over 115 new scholarship recipients received awards. We funded new equipment in both Culinary and Health Sciences, as well as provided general support to more than 15 programs within the College. As donors and volunteers, you have helped to ensure the highest quality of education for each student.
We hope this, volunteer to mentor a student or serve on a committee, and invest in a program meaningful to you.
It is easy to find inspiration at College of DuPage. From the newest technology in the classrooms to the faculty and staff who work to help students succeed, it is clear that COD truly is a community college. Your investment shows our students that members of our community are rooting for them to achieve their goals. You inspire each of us.
Sherman Neal, President
College of DuPage Foundation
